Manic Monday
Do you have any idiosyncrasies or unusual quirks when it comes to food and/or eating?
Don’t even get me, or anyone who eats with me regularly started. I have so many. One of the ones that I struggle with on a daily basis is foods touching. I do not like flavors of foods to mingle unless it is my own choice. So when foods have sauces and they run into other foods… eek.

Have you ever written love letters? If so, do you still have any of them?
Sure, of probably poor substance. I’m awful at writing. I have no idea if I have them, I don’t actively keep them but that kind of things tends to always sneak in to stuff – you’re going through your sock drawer and you find old stuff that never did make it out.

How easy or difficult is it for you to say you’re sorry?
It really depends. It’s not that difficult to understand why people might be upset at you as long as you include the reason that they are being ridiculous. ;) But I do try to make peace, and part of that is saying you’re sorry. Sometimes though you’re not quite ready to make peace and have to get the anger out a little bit more.

A little personal note: My dear friend Janet‘s father has been having some health problems of late. I know he’s got just as wonderful and strong spirit as she does- and let me tell you she’s one incredible, wicked awesome person, but sending smiles and sunshine their way never hurts. :)

So it's kind of funny how things have worked out here. I knew that there was a strong Japanese presence in Hawaii, and I think it's one of the things I enjoy. It's still got the American feel - along with the native Hawaiian culture - but some Japanese too. I had no idea how much it was though but it's kind of funny because - hey, I know a little Japanese. I know more Japanese than I do Spanish, and I use my Spanish a lot in medicine already back at home. Plus it's this mix of Japanese and English that I've heard many times before at home. I didn't expect that I would be using Japanese on my rotation - I'm pretty hard wired for Spanish at this point but kind of a cool random thing.

I promised myself I’d go to bed early, so I’m going to be good and wrap this up. Any exciting plans for the weekend?

Still doing the project 365, might have had to fill in some gaps here and there… ;) This week went by pretty quickly… I can’t say I’ve enjoyed being in lectures, I feel like my spirit is being kept down because I’m not really doing anything. It really has nothing to do with the lecturers or the topics, some of them I do find interesting, I just like the doing more than the sitting. I’m a person of action ;)

1. For me __being in lectures___ is the opposite of creativity.
